Having been fortunate enough to visit AI resorts around the globe, our benchmark is high, but WOW does Ikos deliver. The whole experience from start to finish was superb, and in these COVID times, that’s extremely impressive. I can’t really say much more than so many others have said in their reviews already, other than praise all the staff, be they cleaners, gardeners, pool maintenance, pool buddies, beach buddies, wait staff in restaurants, the chefs, and the management team! The resort is maintained immaculately. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble, and they’re all so friendly and polite, even though they’re all wearing masks day in, day out. A few names who really went above and beyond: Despina (possibly THE most enthusiastic and happy person ever, who made sure we had superb sundowners on the beach each evening), Stefanos (so polite, friendly and chatty and switched between perfect English and German faultlessly as he served different tables at Flavours), Anna-Maria who was clearly so happy all of the time, despite wearing a face mask, and made the excellent recommendation of the Lamb Kelftiko that was SO good), Maria (our cleaner - kept the room immaculate), George (a fabulous ambassador for the Fresco Italian restaurant) and Katerina (Duty Manager who is extremely professional and absolutely committed to ensuring guests have the best possible Ikos experience). From a restaurant perspective, our favourites for dinner were Flavours and Fresco. The Asian restaurant, Anaya had great food but the tables were a little crammed in - not really a problem but did feel like you were a little on top of other guests. Ouzo was good, but the menu choices were a little unusual for our liking. Provence was also very nice, but there just seemed to be confusion about which tables had ordered what’s food and who was looking after which tables. No doubt down to everything being shuffled around due to COVID. That said, Breakfast at Provence was always super tasty and sensible portions. Regardless of restaurant, if you wanted something a bit different, it was never any trouble. We loved the pizzas in Flavours for lunch, having our own topping combinations most days we were there :) We hired a car for our trip which meant we took the opportunity to explore this part of Greece more widely - the Halkidiki region is spectacular. Kassandra and Sithonia had the most stunning coastlines and Afytos is a tiny yet very pretty little town to visit (suggest parking at the top rather than driving through the tiny, one way streets). Ikos Olivia has a fabulous vibe about it. Family focused pool by the beach, a quieter and more couples experience by the main pool. Nothing is too much trouble - we had to say no to the offer of having our drink brought over from our sunbeds while we were in the pool - it felt like an unacceptable level of laziness on our part! It’s so good, we came home and booked another week this October. Fingers crossed Greece doesn’t get taken off the UK essential travel exception list in the meantime. We can’t wait to see the team at Ikos Olivia again very soon.

Having just returned from the Ikos Olivia, felt compelled to write a review regarding our 7 day stay. Having been there before, we knew what to expect under usual circumstances, but given the current worldwide pandemic, i have to admit my expectations weren't as high. What a mistake!!! We felt it was even better than our previous visit. Clearly the Ikos Olivia is taking the pandemic seriously whilst still trying to provide a first class holiday for it's guests. Temperature checks and Antibody tests carried out on arrival and then when given the all clear, you are welcomed into the resort with open arms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and our wellbeing was clearly a high priority for them. With all 5 restaurants operating as a-la-carte and no self service buffet available anywhere, it made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Food was superb and to be honest, you could have whatever you wanted off the menu, meaning most nights i ended up with 2 main courses because i couldn't make my mind up about what to have. They just accommodated you!!! Yes, you had to book a time for each of the restaurants, and if your allocated time was suitable, just went to reception and asked them to change it. No problem. The room, the pools, the bars, the gardens, the beaches, the sun beds are all so well maintained and beautiful it was a real wrench to leave on Saturday morning, but will will certainly be back next year. Finally, to those people leaving reviews moaning about kids, i'd suggest that maybe they should take a little time to read the hotel description. When it says "families" that generally means kids!!! Yes kids make some noise, but that's life for those who have families. For those who choose not to have kids, then i'd suggest heading to Sandals, La Blanc, Excellence etc. for your "adults only" experience. Of course though, enjoy your 8-9 hours on a plane that isn't adults only!!!

Wow..where do I start? This was the holiday we didn’t think would happen - we are so fortunate that my fiancé and I were able to stay here. We were due to to stay at the Ikos Oceania resort (the sister hotel to Olivia) however TUI rescheduled our stay to the Olivia. Transfer to the hotel from the airport was quick and swift (approx 45 mins) where we were greeted by friendly staff from guest relations and sent in family groups to have the antibody test at the medical centre prior to check in. This was a simple pinprick bloody test and we were sorted within 10-15minutes. We then checked in and had a very helpful member of guest relations explain how the resort works and were given details of how to make reservations (via WhatsApp etc) for activities. We were then sent off with our bags via a golf buggy to our room. For context we are a (relatively young) couple so wanted a relaxing holiday in the sun with good food and drinks, which we had in abundance. Bear in mind that are Ikos resorts are family focused hotels, I note from other reviews that people who have stayed without children found this to be an issue. During our stay, out of term time it was predominantly couples and young families with babies or preschoolers - we never encountered any issues with this during our stay. Actually at times I found some of the babies/toddlers better behaved thank some of the adults! However I don’t think I would consider coming at the height of summer during term time if I was after a relaxing stay as a couple, but that’s just my opinion. The hotel does offer adult only areas at restaurants, at one of the pools We stayed in a 1 bedroom bungalow with a garden view (room 525) which was perfect for us. It had a wonderful garden and patio with sun-loungers which got the late afternoon sun. Perfect to have some pre dinner drinks or relax with some room service. The facilities at the resort are fantastic and immaculate, the grounds are well maintained and housekeeping do an excellent job of keeping the rooms and building clean and sanitised. This is done to an equally high standard at the pool and beach where towels are replenished and loungers clean and sanitised. The quality of the food at the resort is superb and is head and shoulders above anything I have experienced at an All Inclusive resort. The food was consistently brilliant, from the ice cream and snacks to the 3 course dinners. It cannot be faulted. Don’t forget you can get snacks at the bars - I highly recommend sampling the pork bao buns at Helios! In terms of the food and beverage provision at the resort what also makes the Ikos brand stand our is the selection and variety of wines available - it is absolutely exquisite as are the cocktails! Whilst the above is fantastic and what you would expect for this standard of hotel, where this place does really stand out is the service. Nothing is too much of an issue and I can honestly say I have never stayed somewhere where the staff have been so accommodating. This level of service was largely consistent throughout our stay however there were a couple of occasions (a Provence at Lunch and Flavours at dinner) when we didn’t have such a high standard of service, however this was noted by both restaurant managers without us having to say anything and was rectified. Overall I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this hotel and the Ikos brand as a whole to anyone - you will have a fantastic time!

From the moment we arrived we were in paradise!!! The hotel team couldn't do enough for us. The staff at Olivia go over and beyond what is expected of them. They are so incredibly courteous, friendly, helpful and professional. They make you feel like you are part of their family. The hotel was stunning and the restaurants serve the most mouth watering delights and the food is of the highest quality and strandard. I commend the way they have implemented safety and reassurance of the Covid 19 measures and you feel so safe and cared for. Ultimately the Olivia is a beautiful, stunning hotel in a wonderful setting.
